(01) Title of the Practice : “Birthday Celebration with Book Donation “ (BCBD)
1. Objectives of the Practice
- To strengthen the library with subject related books
- To remember birthday with donation of books
- To donate minimum five books of own subject
2. The Context
College library need to increase the subject related reference books to issue to the students of the concern subject. Considering this fact all the faculty members has decided to donate the subject related books minimum five books in the library. This initiative was taken by the faculty members after discussion with IQAC from 2018.
3. The Practice
Total 33 faculties and 16 departments including Arts, Commerce and Science programmes are there in the senior college. Every faculty on his birthday occasion donates minimum five subject related books in the library. Birthday of individual faculty celebrated in the college by offering shawl and garland to the individual by the principal of the college and other faculty members.
4. Evidence of Success
Till date excluding Covid-19 pandemic total-58 books have been received in the college library and the subject wise list include Chemistry-05, Zoology- 02, Geography-07, Agriculture/ Cropscience-05, hindi-15, Marathi-15, English-04, Electronics-05
5. Problems Encountered and Resources Required
To increase the no of books in the college library to issue the students college faculties has undertaken a initiative to donate the books to the library with his own expenses and make it available for the students as a reference book.

(02) Name of Best Practice: State Level Debit Competition
- Objectives of the Practice
- To discuss the burning issues in the society
- To aware the students about the latest state/ National issues
- To provide a platform for the students to express on different issues
2. The Context
This college is organizing this state level debate competition since last 30 years to avail a platform for the students of UG level to express their feelings on the different issues in the society at state/ national.
3. The Practice
Shri Sant Janabai Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Gangakhed organizes this state level debit competition since last more than 30 years. Students from different colleges from all over Maharashtra participate in the competition and express their ideas either in the favor of the issues or against the issues. The winner of the competition is awarded with net prize and a memento.
4. Evidence of Success
Students from different colleges form all over Maharashtra participated in the state level Debate competition. Record of all the events maintained by cultural department of the college.
